shower curtain

Img_6564 It's been quite some time since we've posted to the house blog. Becasue again, not that much has happened since last we checked in. I did get a comment recently asking about what we did to keep water in the shower. The answer until recently would have been, um... not much.

For many months I learned to shower keeping my elbows close to prevent water from hosing off the ends and totally drenching the place. That is the case no more. We finally got around to installing a shower rod and curtain. It was always going to be a be tough as we needed to attached to the ceiling (mainly because I was done drilling porcelain over a year ago.)

Img_6555_2 We chose to use brushed nickle hardware and a large woden dowel. Attaching the curtain with beaded chain.

I was always worried that the addition of the curtain would ruin the line of the bathroom--boy was I wrong. I'm really pleased with the way the combination of lights works with it and how it helps to delineate rather than break up the space.

And best of all; I can now shower freely. I hadn't realized how much my style had been cramped until I got it back.

What happened to the idea of a screen? I thought that might work and be kinda cool.
