I wonder a little about the balance between the balcony/bay/hooha on the top and the relative austerity of the bottom of the house and especially the bottom of the bay. Are we heading into wedding cake territory?


now that i understand the "bay window" idea, i like the idea of the small baclony off the top floor. however, see the recent NY Times article about ow balconies in NYC tend to end up like garages - full of stuff and never used for their intened purpose.


To Ivy's point. The hope is that once this is all done in various shades of the same hue (more than likely off white) what appears to be busy-ness (due to the black and white drawing) will receed.
