Been a few days since we last posted, which you could take to mean nothing has been happening (in a sense this is true cuz our contractor is an infuriating sloth when it comes to moving this job along with anything even remotely related to speed), but the truth is we have been busy with little jobs of our own; however, our achievements are not even worth mentioning in light of last night's drizzle turned indoor shower.
Oh yeah: we sprung a leak.
Everyone be quiet while I figure out where that dripping sound is coming from. Hmm, must be the water seaping down through three whole floors of house.
Someone with more experience than I might be inclined to say there's no such thing as a new roof that doesn't leak. Some person might even suggest we should just be happy we weren't tested by a downpour. To them I say climbing over neighbor's wet roof in the dark to track down source of leak (yes I was victorious in redirecting flow away from utterly un-flashed joint) was plenty test for me to almost kick myself for not having done a better inspection of roofer's work over the past week plus of late summer sunshine.
